As born again believers, we receive a mighty 3-fold inheritance from the Lord Jesus:
- Eternal salvation beginning right now;
- Divine healing and the right to live in divine health, and;
- Divine blessing and the right to live in divine prosperity!
It’s God’s plan for each and every believer to live in prosperity. God is NO respecter of persons!
He doesn’t bless one person and then skip four other believers before blessing the next person.
Some people are opposed to the prosperity message but that doesn’t deny the reality of God's
Word. God’s Word is full of verses and truths concerning a believer’s right to be blessed and live
in divine prosperity.
Here are just a few verses (NKJV) concerning God’s Promise of Prosperity:
1) God desires that His believers prosper.
Psalm 35:27 — Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favour my righteous cause; and let
them say continually, ‘Let the LORD be magnified who has pleasure in the prosperity of
His servant'”.
God gets pleasure when His believers prosper. It’s time that you prosper exceedingly
abundantly and give God as much pleasure as possible. Amen!
2) God teaches you to profit.
Isaiah 48:17 — Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the LORD
your God who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go'”.
Question – How does the Lord your God teach you to prosper? That’s the ‘How’ question
that needs to be answered. And the Answer is easy…the answers are in the Word of God.
We need to study the Word, meditate on the Word, and receive the revelation for profiting
from the Lord in prayer!
3) God empowers you to get wealth.
Deut 8:18 — You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to
get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is
this day.
God is the Source of all wealth. God gives believers the power to get wealth. Look carefully
at this Biblical truth—God doesn’t give you the wealth; He gives you the Power to get the
wealth. Believers need to learn what that power is and then learn how to receive it. The
Lord revealed that His power to get wealth included Ideas, Concepts, Inventions, and
Creative thoughts. And then make sure you see the purpose for this wealth – God intends
for wealth to be used to establish His covenant in the land.
Make no mistake about it – God is not opposed to wealth, increase, or breakthrough!
4) God’s System works this way – Give and you shall receive!
Luke 6:38 — Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together,
and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it
will be measured back to you.
God’s system of Blessing starts with Giving! The world’s system starts with Getting. People
have spent their entire lives in a system that teaches getting is more important than giving.
To really connect with God’s system requires a complete reversal of thought – you must
give first before receiving is released. And when God’s system of receiving kicks in, it’s
greater than you could ever imagine – it’s ‘Pressed down, Shaken together, and Running
Over’ – now that’s Good Measure!
5) God’s System works this way – Seek His Kingdom first & He adds all things to us.
Matt 6:33 — Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things
shall be added to you.
This verse reveals two truths – believers have responsibilities and God has a responsibility.
Believers must get their priorities straight – God must come first in their lives! He must be
first in action, thought, and deed. In fact, our thoughts and attitudes must reflect His
Righteousness in thoughts, action, and deeds. When believers fulfill their responsibility to
get these things in proper order, then God fulfills His responsibility to ‘Add all things’ to
their lives. What could be better than that?
6) We are commanded to tithe on our increase; therefore, increase must be of God.
Prov 3: 9-10
9 Honour the LORD with your possessions, and with the first-fruits of all your increase;
10 so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Tithing is God’s best plan for a believer to experience increase. And these two verses make
it clear that God intends for a believer to increase. It’s God’s will for you to INCREASE!
Tithing may be at all-time lows in the general Body of Christ, but that doesn’t change God’s
promise to us. God promised to bring so much increase into a tither’s life that his bank
accounts and investment accounts would overflow with increase. Believers ought to believe
God and experience the ‘God-factor’ in their lives!
7) God gives us all things that pertain to life & Godliness.
2nd Peter 1: 3-4
3 As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through
the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through
these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is
in the world through lust.
God really does want His believers to be blessed with all good gifts – no holding back! God’s
plan for blessing His believers far exceeds anything that the world can offer. It’s time to put
100% of your trust and faith in God and position yourself to receive His great and precious
promises. In the fullness of these promises will be found the divine nature of God – His
desire for you to live in divine prosperity! PTL!
8) God’s blessing makes you rich and it’s without sorrow.
Prov 10:22 — the blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
The Lord seems to have less difficulty with making a believer rich than the believer has in
receiving the blessing. Why are so many Christians opposed to being blessed? And why do so
many Christians read these verses and conclude that the verse doesn’t apply to them.
These verses seem to be crystal clear—God wants to bless you and increase you…all you
have to do is be open to receive His blessings. Will you make that commitment?
9) God supplies all my needs according to His riches.
Phil 4:19 — My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
This may be one of our favourite verses as Faith believers. But notwithstanding, very few
believers are willing to fully embrace this truth! The Apostle Paul spoke this powerful verse
over the Philippians in response to their consistent giving to meet his ministry needs. (Vs. 15-
16). God will meet all of our needs when we meet the needs of ministry that God has called
us to. We do our part; God does His part – and all of our needs are satisfied. Amen!
10) Jesus delivered us from the curse of poverty.
2nd Cor 8:9 — For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet
for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
Jesus was our substitute on the cross. He exchanged His perfect life for our sin, becoming
sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. He took stripes on His
back and shed His blood that we might be totally healed. And Jesus who was rich beyond
rich became poor that our poverty would be exchanged for His riches. Yes, Amen!
We must get this truth inside us. We know that we know that we know that we’re saved
because of Calvary’s exchange! And we must know that we know that we know that Jesus
paid the total price to remove poverty from us and substituted riches and blessings and
wealth upon us! Yes amen! It’s time to believe it and live it!
Summary
There are hundreds of references in the Word of God dealing with blessing, wealth, riches, and
prosperity. They clearly reveal God’s Will for believers — prosperity should be the lifestyle of
every believer.
And just like salvation, we receive the Blessings of God, God’s prosperity, by Grace, the
awesome power of God. God’s Grace is activated in our lives by faith. Faith is the catalyst that
activates the promises of prosperity in God’s Word in your life.
Remember faith is hearing, believing, speaking, and acting on God’s promises. It’s time to have
faith God’s Promise of Prosperity in your life! Thank you Jesus!
